MEP Draftsman

Experience:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of proven experience in construction projects.Proficient in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) and other relevant drafting software.

Knowledge of Revit MEP or similar BIM tools is an added advantage.

Diploma or certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

Key Responsibilities

Strong understanding of MEP systems including HVAC, firefighting, drainage, water supply, and electrical layouts.

Prepare detailed Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) shop drawings as per project requirements and specifications.

Modify and revise drawings as per engineering and site requirements.

Coordinate with engineers and other drafting team members to ensure accuracy and consistency across all MEP systems.

Identify and resolve potential conflicts in design or layout, especially in coordination with architectural and structural drawings.

Maintain updated logs of drawings and revisions.

Submit drawings for approval and ensure timely incorporation of review comments.

Ensure drawings comply with local codes, client specifications, and international standards.

Adhere to CAD drafting standards and layer management.

Provide technical support to site teams as required.

Attend coordination meetings when necessary to understand field conditions and adjust drawings accordingly.

Ability to understand and interpret technical instructions and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
