QA/QC Electrical Engineer

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Expertise in Substations: Hands-on experience in the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of substations, particularly GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) systems. Solar Panel & Tracker Systems: Familiarity with solar panel installation and tracking systems, including their electrical integration. Documentation Experience: Strong experience with QA/QC documentation, including Inspection Test Reports (ITR) and Material Inspection Reports (MIR). Knowledge of Standards: Solid understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards (such as IEC, IEEE, and local regulations).

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Control: Develop and implement QA/QC processes and procedures for electrical systems, ensuring all work is compliant with project specifications and relevant industry standards.

Substation & Electrical Equipment Inspections: Oversee the inspection, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, particularly high-voltage substations (minimum 132kV GIS), ensuring they meet all quality and safety requirements.

Solar Panels & Trackers: Ensure the installation and functionality of solar panels and tracker systems adhere to design and quality standards.

Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain all QA/QC documentation, including Inspection Test Reports (ITRs), Material Inspection Reports (MIRs), and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

Coordination: Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to address electrical system issues, ensuring timely and efficient project execution.

Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct electrical system testing and troubleshooting, ensuring that all systems perform as per the design specifications and industry standards.

Compliance & Standards: Ensure that all electrical systems are in compliance with local and international standards (such as IEC, IEEE, etc.), as well as relevant codes and regulations.

Root Cause Analysis: Perform root cause analysis for any electrical system failures or discrepancies, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Continuous Improvement: Support the implementation of continuous improvement practices within the QA/QC processes to enhance the efficiency and quality of electrical systems.
